There was a medical quackery perpetrator called The Master Electric Company Chicago whose goodies are discussed on line at http://www.radiolaguy.com/VioletRay.htm . Somebody once gave me one of those Master Violet Ray devices and I still have it:
This sparking and arcing was supposed to have therapeutic value.
I haven't turned this thing on in many years and today, I wouldn't want it running within a hundred feet of any PC of mine, but what really gets me is the UL label. It's partly worn away, but what's left can be read as "Listed Under Reexamination ????? Underwriters Laboratories".
It's somewhat the worse for wear, but it came in a nice wooden case.
Its wonderful, looking at the time and effort you put into your weblog and detailed information you provide. I'll bookmark your weblog and visit it weekly for your new posts.

I have come across one in mint condition. In the wooden case. Was wondering if you had any interest in it? Or maybe know who wood?

The one I have was given to me when I was a teenager. It was a present from the late Dr. Solomon Goldhirsch whom I met via ham radio on 10 meters. His call was K2QDC. It's a curio that I've hung on to, but I wouldn't want another one nor do I know of anyone who might.

Do you know where I could find more information on it?
