There is an item about solar panel arrays at the following URL in which you can see how a homeowner's roof installation is impacted by partial blockages of sunlight.

However, just to hammer home the point about the undesirabilty of solar blockages, here is a picture I took just today, October 20, 2012, of a solar panel array with absolutely no shadow blockages at all.
Yes, it's the roof of a firehouse, not a residence, but it is perfectly situated to make the most of Old Sol.

Precisely for that reason , Power optimizer has been introduced by National. Semiconductor.. so that partial shade will not ruin your entire system efficiency..

I am wondering where it would be possible to find solar panels for your home. Thanks for this great article.

I just had solar panels installed at my home and having solar energy has been so beneficial to my family and I. After talking to a few solar companies in the bay area I found the perfect one. Definitely one of the biggest aspects was trying to position them in the perfect spot but we eventually did. Hopefully, my neighbors start following suit!
