I wanted to change the forwarding address for my IEEE alias of ambertec@ieee.org and for the life of me, I could not find my way through the IEEE pages to where I could get the job done. The system was upgraded back in 2013 such that what had once been a simple procedure now totally eluded me.
After much struggle and travail, I found a phone number which I called (1-800-678-4333) where I received some guidance that I will now try to paraphrase and offer as follows.
Using the Chrome browser and only the Chrome browser, enter "email.ieee.org" exactly as written here into the URL line. Be sure that you enter nothing more and nothing less.
Press "Enter".
If you have done this before, you will get a presentation of whatever e-mails there are that lie waiting for you in your IEEE inbox.
On the other hand, if you have not done this before, a small window will appear asking for your User ID and your password. Type in your alias e-mail address as your User ID which in my case was ambertec@ieee.org and then type in your own password for everything you do on line via IEEE. Then press "Enter".
Whichever way this last step goes, you will come to a display with a "gear" over on the right upper corner and a "down arrow" just to the right of that "gear".
Left click on the "gear" icon and use the "down arrow" to view the drop-down menu.
Scroll down the menu and then left click on "Settings". You should see the following.
On the horizontal tool bar, left click on "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" and you will see the following.
The page that is now in view is the work area from which you can control and revise your alias parameters as desired. It was here however that I ran into some problems that are a bit more complex than I can quickly describe.
To change my forwarding address, I first had to delete the forwarding address that I had previously been using because I couldn't find a way to just simply select my new one from a list. Once I did that deletion, the forwarding address that I wanted became my "in use" forwarding address seemingly by default.
Was I screwing up somehow? Probably yes, but by having to potchke with this page one way or the other, I finally got the forwarding address to be what I wanted.
The last step is to click on the button for "Save Changes".
Good luck!
You do not have to use Chrome, this "email.ieee.org" address works in other browsers too (at least in Firefox and IE).

When I got into trouble trying to do this and I sought guidance from IEEE itself, I was told to use only Chrome. I asked why and was told that although IE and Firefox could work, some people found that they could not successfully use those other browsers although why that was so was not known.
Since I was told to only use Chrome, I've passed that along.
