The pandemic is the result of the actions of microorganisms. The underlying biology has been the subject of intense study from which much has been learned and of which much remains to be learned.
Transmission mechanisms which were once thought to be primary were later been found to be of lesser significance, while other mechanisms have been found to be primary instead. In light of that evolving knowledge, several personal steps are called for, none of which are perfect. Therefore each and all of them must be acted on without exception.
They are 1) to wear a face mask that covers both the nose and the mouth, 2) to stay as far away from other people as you can where six feet is the minimum target distance and 3) to get vaccinated so that you will be less likely to become ill if you happen to suffer virus exposure.
This is the biology itself. It is nothing more and nothing less. It applies to everyone, everywhere.
Some people refuse these simple measures claiming compromise of their masculinity, femininity, piety, freedom of choice, civil rights etc.
I submit that such persons are very much lacking those very attributes which they so much praise and prize and thereby make that lack openly visible to the whole world while unwisely placing themselves and you and me and everyone else in mortal peril of our lives.
