Many arriving e-mails have been created by their senders with picture images that fail to appear when I open the messages. Instead of an intended image, there will be a small white box with a red "X" in the center and no image.
An e-mail arrived today which was apparently sent with two images in it, not just one, and something new occurred. One image was visible but the other image was red-X'ed as follows:
I've never seen an e-mail before where both conditions applied. It's always been that either I could see everything or I could see nothing.
The questions at hand are:
1) Why are images ever blocked at all?
2) What is the remedy to avoid image blocking altogether?
